SEVEN schools from Kirklees and Calderdale entered the Geographical Association's Worldwise quiz.

The event was held at Honley High School.

This is the seventh time a local round has been organised.

The event is in its 23rd year.

Each school is represented by three students under 16, who face individual and team questions on geographical topics.

North Halifax Grammar School won the contest. Calder High School came second and third was Honley High.

The local Geographical Association branch presented the winning school with a book token.
