TWO burglars who broke into a petrol station were caught on camera.

Police have now given the man and woman the chance to give themselves up or face the prospect of the photographs being released to newspapers.

The couple broke into the Paddock filling station at The Triangle, Paddock, at precisely 3.48am on Tuesday.

They stole sweets and soft drinks.

Pc Dave McSweeney, of Huddersfield Police, said: "We know the exact time of the break-in because the alarm went off and the culprits were caught on CCTV.

"West Yorkshire Police does publish photographs of suspects to the media via Crimestoppers and we are telling this couple it is in their best interests to come forward now."

They should give themselves up at Huddersfield police station or phone 01484 436659.
