MASKED robbers tried to raid a Yorkshire Building Society in Huddersfield on Friday.
The three men ran into the branch on Acre Street, Lindley at 11.57am
One was carrying a sledge hammer and the others are thought to have been carrying knives.
They attempted to smash the doors into the back of the building with the sledge hammer but were unsuccessful.
Afterwards they made off down New Hey Road in a blue car.
