A BURGLAR threatened his victim with a knife when he was caught red-handed.
The intruder had gone into a house on Hopton Lane, Lower Hopton, Mirfield, just before 10pm on Tuesday.
The victim, a man in his 40s, went in the kitchen and disturbed the stranger.
The intruder picked up a kitchen knife and threatened the victim, before fleeing from the house and away over fields.
Nothing is thought to have been stolen.
The intruder was white, in his early 20s and 5ft 6in tall. He was very thin with dark brown hair. He wore a blue, parka-style coat with fur around the hood, dark blue jeans and Adidas trainers.
