ALMOST £500 was raised at a charity coffee morning for the Help for Heroes charity.
Country Crafts wool and fabric shop on Wakefield Road in Denby Dale sold drinks and cakes and held a raffle for the charity, which helps service personnel injured in action.
It raised £491 on the day, which will be added to money collected by customer Linda Gough at a horse driving trials event.
The shop also organised an Easter card-making competition in conjunction with local schools.
The cards will be sent to the forces in Afghanistan.
