RAM raiders used a lorry to smash their way into a major store.

The raiders struck at Curry's on the Junction 27 Retail Park in Birstall at 9.15 last night - just over an hour after it had shut.

They gang had stolen a 7.5-tonne truck from Leeds and used that to smash their way through bollards designed to stop ram raids.

They then drove a stolen Honda Civic into the store to give them even better access.

They loaded up satellite navigation systems and MP3 players into the boot of a red hatchback car and sped off with another car in convoy.

This second car is a blue BMW Cabriolet.

The cars were last seen heading on to the westbound carriageway of the M62.

A police spokesman said: "It is early on in the night for a raid like this and people may well have still been on the retail park and saw what happened.
