A MAN charged with rape has gone missing.
Lawrence Stringer, from Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, is charged with attacking a 14-year-old girl in the Tameside area on August 16.
He went on the run after being given conditional bail from Manchester Crown Court.
The 50-year-old is believed to be travelling around the country on foot and public transport with a small dog.
He is white, about 5ft 9ins tall, slim, with short, dark, receding hair and a Manchester accent.
His face and neck are heavily scarred from a fire.
