A RASTRICK school is leading the anti-bullying message.
Carr Green Primary School is among those who will highlight the issues of bullying in a special DVD as part of Anti-Bullying Week, which begins today.
Carr Green Primary School will be showing anti-bullying DVDs made by children from local schools.
An awareness raising assembly will be followed by drama sessions in classes.
Lesley Wall, learning mentor at Carr Green, said: “The DVD and booklet funded by Calderdale Council have been a fantastic resource.”
In the run-up to this annual campaign, the council has been working with local schools and other organisations to raise awareness and tackle the issue of bullying.
Calderdale Council’s director of children and young people’s services, Stuart Smith, said: “The council and its health service partners know from comprehensive research that bullying in all its forms is something that is of serious concern for young people of all ages.
“It is really pleasing to see so many schools and youth groups giving this issue serious attention.”
