A RASTRICK schoolgirl has enjoyed appearing in a stage play of the classic tale Peter Pan.

Olivia Midgley, 14, a pupil at All Saints Catholic College had three roles in Stage 84’s show, which had a hugely-successful run at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford.

Huddersfield’s Danielle Leader, aged five, and Alicia Dwyer, aged eight, of Brighouse, also appeared in the show.

For Olivia it was another chance to do what she loves most – singing and dancing.

She has appeared as extras in TV adverts and shows including Emmerdale and Shameless, and was also in the cast of the touring musical the Sound of Music with Connie Fisher.

She was cast in three roles in Peter Pan – a wolf, an Edwardian and a pirate.

Mum Mairaed said: “She has been going to Stage 84 since she was three.

“It was by fluke really, because she was a confident girl someone suggested she try performing arts which she did and has continued to do ever since.”

Olivia has appeared on stage many times before.

She was in Annie at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and appeared at the Bradford Alhambra with Su Pollard.

“She wants to be a primary school teacher when she grows up but would also love to teach dance as it’s something she loves,” her mum added.

“I think she realises acting is a difficult thing to get into, but will definitely carry on.”

She comes from a talented family. Dad Nigel is in the band Junction 25 and her sister Harriet, 12, is also a stage actress.

Harriet is appearing as an orphan in Halifax Light Opera’s play of Annie in November.
