A NEW guide to Kirklees attractions has been published by the council.
Explore Pennine Yorkshire is packed with information about events, attractions and festivals in the area.
The free guide can be collected at any tourist information centre in Kirklees.
Events featured include the Summer Sounds of Brass concert at Greenhead Park on Saturday and the Dewsbury On Sea seaside themed event on August 23.
Other events are the Chinese-themed Beijing to Dewsbury event on August 24, a Wool ’n’ Dance workshop at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, West Bretton, on August 24 and 25 and Heckmondwike Music Festival on Saturday, August 30.
Clr Liz Smaje, Kirklees Cabinet’s member for leisure and neighbourhood services, said: “We’re very lucky to have so many attractions and events.
“There are fun days out to suit most tastes, ages and pockets.’’
