THERE will be more than 100 stalls and attractions at West Yorkshire Fire Service's summer gala.

Displays will include the service's urban search and rescue and vehicle extrication teams.

The event is on Saturday, July 8.

Gates open at noon and the gala will finish at around 4pm.

Other attractions will include police dogs, West Yorkshire Ambulance Service's major incident unit, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team, the Army and National Blood Service.

Children can go on fairground rides, bouncy castles, Little Dennis the Fire Engine and grass sledges.

Other entertainment will be by the Yorkshire Mixtures Majorettes, The Fire Service Concert Band and The Fire Service Pipe Band.

The event will be staged at the fire service's HQ on Bradford Road at Birkenshaw.

Entry is £1 per person, with children under 12 going in free.

All profits go to the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.
