SCHOOLS and colleges in Huddersfield are being urged to do more recycling.

The plea came from Cartridge World, who have a store on John William Street in the town centre.

The company fears that in the mad rush at the start of the academic year, more computer printer cartridges could end up in tips this month alone than at any other time of the year.

A spokesman for Cartridge World in Huddersfield urged schools to refill their empty cartridges.

This would not only reduce the 47m cartridges already in tips but also save schools money.
