A BIG recycling project was launched in Birkby.
And children at the Infant School got expert help in their bid to tidy up the area in the Bin It in Birkby campaign.
A refuse crew from Kirklees Council, complete with dustbin wagon, turned up at the school to spread the recycling message.
Local groups, residents and councillors are all backing the new initiative, which will see organised clean-ups in the area and a push towards more recycling in Birkby and Hillhouse.
Council officers want to stress the services such as free bulky waste collections and glass recycling.
