Recyling helps tree scheme

A HUDDERSFIELD firm has thanked people for their support of a year-long national tree planting campaign.

As part of National Tree Week 2004, Cartridge World's "Plant a tree not a cartridge" scheme encouraged customers to recycle plastic cartridges used for ink in printers rather than throw them away.

The project has seen more than 2m cartridges saved from landfill sites and 6,000 trees planted.
