YOUNG people from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are up with the larks to attend their own religious education programme.

People aged 14-18 are taking part in early morning classes to cover subjects, including the Old and New Testaments.

A Meltham class has 16 students who attend between 7am to 8am before going to school or college. This year three students from Honley and Holmfirth High Schools – Joshua Quesne, Amy Beaumont and Nathan Salcombe – graduated after completing four years of seminary.
