A HUDDERSFIELD man accused of raping a woman in his home has been sent for trial.

A brief hearing was held at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

John Hanrahan, 20, of Holme Park Court, Berry Brow, was not produced from Doncaster Prison for the hearing.

He also faces charges of false imprisonment and indecent assault relating to the same 20-year-old woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons.

Hanrahan was remanded back into custody by the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Stephen Gullick, to wait for his five-day trial.

This is expected to start on November 21.

Hanrahan has pleaded not guilty to the offences.
