A ROADSHOW gave people an insight into what local health services are all about.
The purple pop-up mini marquee attracted attention from shoppers wandering around the Piazza.
It promoted the work of their local healthcare provider, Locala Community Partnerships.
Locala provides NHS community services to over 400,000 people in Kirklees and beyond.
It covers health visitors, district nurses, school nurses, speech and language therapists and many other vital community health services.
It is aimed at caring for people with long-term conditions.
Staff were on hand to answer questions as they handed out pens and balloons.
Residents also had the chance to find out about free NHS checks from a specialist nurse.
These are available to people aged 40 to 74 who don’t already have a diagnosed long-term condition.
The roadshow has already reached hundreds of people.
Its next stop will be at Dewsbury District Hospital on May 15, followed by Holmfirth Co-op car park on May 26.
