A WOMAN who believes her family's pet dog may have been stolen has now offered a £500 reward.

Eight-year-old Yorkshire terrier George vanished from the garden of his home on Ashenhurst Avenue in Newsome on Saturday morning.

His owner, 40-year-old Deborah Powell and her children, Rebecca, 19, and 15-year-old Aaron, have offered the reward in a bid to get him back.

It has been suggested that a Yorkshire terrier - possibly George - has been seen at a house in the Newsome area.

The family has searched all over for him. Deborah has also contacted police, Kirklees Council dog wardens and the RSPCA and Animal Welfare charities.

Anyone who may have seen George or knows where he is should ring Deborah on 07717 664468.
