IMPROVEMENTS to one of Calderdale’s busiest crossroads have suffered a slight setback.
Work on resurfacing Hipperholme crossroads on the busy A58 Halifax to Leeds route has been halted until September 1, following unexpected problems with communications cables which now need to be relocated.
The work will be undertaken during evening closures of the A644 Brighouse Road and Denholme Gate Road and will take approximately two weeks to complete.
During this time it will also be necessary at times to close the A649 Wakefield Road at the junction. Closures will take place from 6.30pm. Calderdale Council has apologised for any inconvenience.
It is anticipated that most of the work on the junction will be complete by mid-September.
