Drivers have been warned to watch out for roadworks on the M62 this week.

An update from Highways England warned of improvements being carried out at three locations on the M62.

At junction 26 Bradford – the M606 interchange – there will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in the autumn. The slip roads and roundabout will be down to a single lane from 7pm to 6am until Thursday, August 25). The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am and drivers will be able to follow signed diversion routes.

The eastbound carriageway between junction 26 Chain Bar and junction 27 Gildersome will be reduced to a single lane from 8pm to 6am for two nights from today (Tues, Aug 23) including the eastbound exit slip road at junction 27 and the eastbound entry slip road at junction 28 which will be closed for gantry works. The closures will be from 8pm to 6am and drivers will be able to follow signed diversion routes.

And the A162 at junction 33 Ferrybridge will be fully closed until October for bridge work. Drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion route.
