A KNIFEMAN fled empty-handed in a failed raid on a shop.
The robber threatened a threatened the 62-year-old member of staff with a large knife at the store on Low Lane in Batley at 3pm yesterday.
He demanded the victim open the till.
But when the victim called out for help, the robber fled empty-handed.
He was last seen running towards Bradford Road.
He is white, 5ft 6ins with short, fair, mousey hair. He wore a grey and black camouflage jacket and dark trousers.
