Tributes to tragic rugby star Ronan Costello poured in from across the world.
There were tributes from Canada and New Zealand as well as many hbudnreds of messages of condolence to the family within hours of his tragic death in Leeds General Infirmary.
Ronan, 17, was badly injured playing for the Giants Academy against Salford on Saturday and lost his fight for life in hospital.
David Faiumu, who returned to New Zealand after a stint with the Giants, tweeted: “You sure were Ronan champion bloke love you my bro RIP will see you on the other side brother.”
Dave Calverley, chairman of the Giants Supporters Association, said: “It is such a tragedy and it is one of those things that bring the whole Rugby League family together.
“Our thought are with everyone who knew Ronan, especially his family.”
