HUNDREDS of tap dancers will put their best feet forward for charity.

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation will host the tapathon at North Bridge Leisure Centre in Halifax on Sunday, January 16.

And his widow, Fiona Castle, is hoping to join in the event.

The foundation was set up in memory of the Scholes-born entertainer who died from lung cancer in 1994 after appearing in smoky clubs.

Roy’s Relay Tapathon has raised over £162,000 in its 14-year history. This year 18 dancing schools will take part with participants aged three to 83.
