A RUNNER who took up the sport in memory of his father has raised more than £3,000 for cancer sufferers.
Peter Wood, of Elland, took part in five 10-kilometre runs last year to raise money for Cancer Research.
Now he is calling on his fellow runners to get their sponsor money to the charity as soon as possible.
Peter was among hundreds who took part in a 10km race at Harewood House, near Leeds, last September.
He said: "The Harewood race was a tough event because it was hilly.
"Those of us who made it around really achieved something.
"But it will count for so much more if everyone sends their sponsorship so that Cancer Research's scientists can continue their excellent work.
"Please, if you were at the Harewood 10K, send in your sponsorship as soon as possible and really help to make a difference."
