A HUDDERSFIELD University professor has been honoured in Russia.

Tim Moscovitch, associate dean of the school of art and architecture, has been awarded an honorary professorship at the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts.

Prof Moscovitch has been awarded the honour for the work he has done to forge links between the academy in Ekaterinburg and Huddersfield University.

In the past six years he has arranged staff and student exchanges and franchised Huddersfield courses out to the Russian academy.

Prof Moscovitch taught on Huddersfield University’s innovation master’s degree course and, in addition to his role as associate dean, is a UK Government quality assurance auditor.

He was given the honour as part of the academy’s 60th anniversary celebrations. He said: “I feel privileged to receive this award.’’
