A CHARITY which helps thousands of disabled people enjoy the waterways needs urgent funding.
The Safe Anchor Trust, based at Shepley Marina in Mirfield, took 10,000 people on to the Calder and Hebble Navigation last year.
But the group urgently needs funds to repair one of its ageing boats.
The craft, which was built in 1978, has faulty wiring and rotting wood.
The council’s Mirfield, Kirkburton and Denby Dale Committee will decide whether to commit £10,000 towards the £50,000 repair costs at its meeting at Battyeford Sporting Club at 7.30pm on Monday.
