A RADIO advert's about road safety in West Yorkshire has gained a top award.

A RADIO advert's about road safety in West Yorkshire has gained a top award.

West Yorkshire Casualty Reduction Partnership's Black Spot campaign was awarded the world silver medal for public service announcements on radio.

The partnership - made up of the five main councils in West Yorkshire, plus the police - was given the award at the international cinema, TV and radio awards in New York, the media equivalents of Oscars.

This is the third major award the campaign has collected.
