COUNCILLORS want the public to join in when they discuss community safety.
The debate comes at the next meeting of Kirklees Council's Denby Dale, Kirkburton and Mirfield area committee.
People living in those areas are urged to take part in the meeting.
It is being held next Thursday at Burton Village Hall, Northfield Lane, Highburton, and starts at 7.30pm.
The committee has already spent cash on better street lighting, T-shirts for schools and security measures for vulnerable residents, including new locks and timer switches for lights.
