Sainsbury’s in early-morning pledge to Lindley motorists

A COUNCILLOR has welcomed plans to ease congestion.

Sainsbury’s, in Lindley, has promised to make every effort to get deliveries in by 7am.

Residents had feared that large delivery vehicles parked in the lay-by would cause congestion on Plover Road and Acre Street.

Clr Christine Stanfield welcomed the news yesterday.

The Lindley Lib Dem said: “Sainsbury’s are very aware of the traffic problems and they have promised to do all they can.

“This will go a very long way to alleviating traffic problems.”
