SAINSBURY’S supermarket at Shorehead has picked Castle Hill School as their latest charity partner.
The store will raise money for the Newsome special school over the next 12 months through bag packing, raffles and other fundraising events.
The school teaches pupils, aged two to 19, with severe learning difficulties.
Castle Hill School headteacher Gill Robinson said: “We’re really excited to be partnering with Sainsbury’s Shorehead over the next 12 months and would like to thank everyone in the community who voted for us.
“We will be planning fundraising activities with the store colleagues in the coming weeks and we hope that customers will support the store’s fundraising efforts in the coming months.”
Andy Stanbridge, Sainsbury’s Shorehead store manager, added: “Castle Hill School is such a worthy local cause and we’re pleased and proud to be supporting it over the next 12 months.”
