A SUPERMARKET building in Huddersfield has been sold as part of a property deal.
Prupim, the property investment arm of UK insurer Prudential, has bought three supermarkets occupied by Sainsbury’s in a £125m deal.
The sale and leaseback deal covers Sainsbury’s Shore Head store in Huddersfield and two others in Worcester and Truro, Cornwall.
The deal does not affect Sainsbury’s trading at the stores.
Sainsbury’s will lease the buildings for 25 years with rent reviews linked to the retail price index.
