CHILDREN at a Huddersfield school are all set for a blood-curdling new play.

Salendine Nook High School is producing a ‘Dracula Spectacular’ stage show next week – complete with costumes, fake blood and fangs.

The production will feature the whole school, with children from the age of 11 to 16 acting or helping out behind the scenes.

Head of Drama Amanda Glover said: “All the children are very excited about taking part in the show.

“The production is part of a ‘Life-Routes’ initiative and has been sponsored by Nokia and the National Children’s Bureau.

“Life-Routes is aimed at developing children’s confidence, teamwork, problem-solving and life skills through working with schools.

“We have only just started doing Drama at the school, but this marks the beginning of us building up a vibrant extra-curricular programme.”

The Dracula Spectacular starts tomorrow evening at 7pm and will conclude on Thursday.

Tickets can be bought from the school and are priced at £4.50 for adults and £3 for children.
