A YOUNG man suffered a harrowing 40-minute ordeal after intruders burst into his home wielding a Samurai sword.

They knocked on his door on School Street, Moldgreen, at 8.40 last night and forced their way in.

The three masked robbers threaten to chop-up the 23-year-old victim and searched his terraced house.

They stole two Playstations consoles, a Dell laptop computer and a gold chain.

Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees Police intelligence unit, said: "The men had a Samurai sword and threatened the victim, at one point saying they would chop him up.

"This was a very frightening ordeal for him and we would urge anyone who may have seen these three robbers hanging around the area before the raid or fleeing afterwards to contact us."

One is African- Caribbean aged 26 to 28, 6ft 2ins and stocky.

He wore a black balaclava, black clothes and black Nike trainers.

The second is white, aged 19 to 23 and 5ft 11ins.

He wore black clothes, blue golf gloves and blue and white trainers.

The third is a light-skinned African-Caribbean man aged 19 to 23 who wore a black and white balaclava, a green baseball cap, black clothes and blue Reebok trainers.
