TWO men have been charged with the murder of Brockholes dad John Collins. 

Christopher Burton, 28, of Oakes Avenue, Brockholes and Douglas Stephen, also 28, of Sherbourne Avenue in Bootle, Merseyside, spoke only to confirm their names and addresses at Dewsbury Magistrates Court yesterday.

Louise Beebey, 23, of School Avenue, Dewsbury Moor appeared separately charged with assisting an offender.  Mr Collins, 55 died hours after the alleged assault on Oakes Avenue on Wednesday evening. 

Prosecutor Stephen Rushton said both men were jointly charged with the offence.

Christopher Burton appeared to have a bruise under his right eye, both men were dressed in T-shirts. 

The men’s defence briefs did not say anything and the pair will apear before Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday.

Miss Beebey was slightly built with shoulder length blonde hair and wore a grey jogging top.

She was refused bail.

All three will appear at Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday.
