RAWTHORPE Infant School pupils helped launch a campaign to promote adoption.
Pupils visited Barbara Hepworth's Family of Man sculpture at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, near Bretton, to highlight the importance of family.
They took part in a photoshoot to launch National Adoption Week, which runs up to Sunday.
Wakefield MP David Hinchliffe, who constituency covers Denby Dale and Kirkburton, was also at the launch.
National Adoption Week is run by the British Association for Adoption and Fostering and aims to help people considering adoption to find out more.
The Association is running a helpline on 020 7593 2060, where trained volunteers will offer information and advice. There will also be a free information pack available.
Kirklees Family Placement Unit is keen to hear from applicants willing to adopt children who are aged 0-10 years, children with medical conditions, children who are of mixed race and those who come in sibling groups.
