FORMER pupils of Holmfirth Secondary Modern School are holding their second reunion – 55 years after leaving school.
Pupils who attended the school – known as The Nabb – from 1949 to 1953 will meet at the Old Bridge Hotel in Holmfirth for the reunion dinner on October 10.
The reunion will celebrate the 70th birthdays of the classmates. It follows a reunion organised five years ago, when they all marked their 65th birthdays.
The event is being organised by Barbara Kaye. She said: “We are having a second reunion to mark our birthdays and we know a few people missed out last time. We would like them to have the chance to be there.
“We can catch up on the last five years – or 55 years if they missed the last reunion!”
Mrs Kaye is appealing for anyone with school memorabilia, photographs or books to bring them along to the reunion.
She is also asking anyone who knows of a former classmate who has not heard about the event to pass on the information.
