A BUILDING firm has won a contract to help rejuvenate a Holme Valley school.

ISG Totty Building, of Bradford, has secured the £180,000 deal to carry out fast-track refurbishment at Honley High School.

The project, which has been given the go- ahead by Kirklees Council, will see the school's ICT facilities enlarged to provide extra workstations.

Work started recently and will take 14 weeks to complete.

Managing director Philip Ryder said: "With a well-established track record ISG Totty Building continues to secure an increasing share of the competitive education market."

The firm is carrying out minor demolition work to create the extra classroom space.

It will also install new suspended ceilings and floor finishes, as well as decorate the new facilities.
