A HUDDERSFIELD school has achieved a quality assurance standard.
Dalton Junior and Infant School’s foundation stage has received the Quality Assurance in Early Years Settings mark, which is accredited by Warwick University.
During the programme schools have to identify major strengths and weaknesses in their particular school and develop an action plan to work on and improve them.
Data is collected from children, staff, parents and other groups.
Subjects which can be included are language development, interaction, parental involvement and the external environment.
Foundation stage co-ordinator Sue Mansfield said the programme had helped raise aspirations even further.
She said one key feature of the Dalton programme had been improving the external environment and using it as an outdoor classroom.
