SCHOOLS opened their doors to their local communities as part of Communities Week last week.

Pupils from 16 schools across Huddersfield put on a range of activities at Huddersfield Town Hall to demonstrate their work in the wider community.

The event included community artists, talent shows, projects involving the different generations and sporting events.

Children, aged five to 16, put up displays of their community activities during the school year.

Members of the public, especially the over-50s, were invited to this year’s second annual event, which was based on the theme of bringing generations together.
