AN elderly couple hurt in a crash in Scissett remained in hospital last night.
The collision – involving a black Land Rover and a red Renault Clio – took place near the Sunnymead junction on Wakefield Road at 4.11pm on Tuesday.
The 85-year old Clio driver remains in a “serious” condition.
He faces surgery on his injuries.
His wife is also detained in the Infirmary with bruising and other injuries.
