THE hunt for an international pool player who vanished last year has switched to West Yorkshire.
David Guilfoyle, 37, vanished last May after watching Liverpool in the Champions League final in an Accrington pub.
A 36-year-old man - Shane Fitzpatrick from Hapton in Lancashire - has been charged with his murder.
But no body has ever been found and officers are now searching reservoirs in the Calderdale area. Police divers will be probing stretches of water between Colne and Haworth.
A Lancashire Police spokes- woman said: "Certain stretches of water over the border into Yorkshire have been identified as a result of Lancashire officers consulting the leading national police search advisor for missing persons and homicide, based at the National Crime and Operational Faculty."
The officer leading the investigation, Det Supt Steve Brunskill, said: "We have received no information in relation to the whereabouts of David Guilfoyle, but we are determined to explore any further areas based on the best professional advice available.
"Mr Guilfoyle's family are aware of these further searches and like us they are hoping we are successful."
