THE nation’s biggest free annual poetry competition is looking for a Huddersfield champion.

One poet will represent each UK town in the National Poetry Anthology and the search is on for a Huddersfield representative.

Entry for the competition is free and the winners get a free copy of the book featuring their poem as well as £1,000 for the overall winner.

The book’s editor, Peter Quinn said: “The National Poetry Anthology is designed to encourage new writers. It has rocketed in popularity and we expect the new one to be even better.”
