A SECOND man has been arrested after a machete attack left two 18-year-old friends badly hurt.
The family of one of the victims, Rizwan Awan, fear he will be scarred for life after his face was slashed in the horror attack at Longroyd Bridge.
He was slashed nine times and left on a life support machine after his car was allegedly rammed on Longroyd Lane at 10.40pm on Sunday, May 18.
He is in a stable condition at Leeds General Infirmary. His friend and passenger suffered knife injuries and has been cared for at the same Leeds hospital.
Police say they have arrested two Thornton Lodge men in connection with the incident.
One is 21 and the other 23.
They have been released on police bail until late June, pending further inquiries.
