ANOTHER motorist has been threatened with a fine for doing zero miles-per-hour through a Huddersfield junction.

On Wednesday the Examiner featured Marsh motorist Kooser Arshad who had received a ticket for allegedly running the lights at the junction of Firth Street and Wakefield Road, Aspley.

Ms Arshad denies running the light and thinks she was snapped whilst stuck behind a car turning right towards Dalton.

Now Huddersfield based publicity manager John Goodyear says his wife was also trapped at the same lights also for doing zero miles-per-hour.

Mr Goodyear said he realised the ticket was for allegedly running the light and not for speeding but said they would fight the £60 fine as the documentation did not add up.

He said: “Online it says the speed of the vehicle is recorded at nought miles-per-hour.

“But on the notice of intended prosecution it says the light had been red for one second.

“The documentation is contradictory, if they can’t get their paperwork in order why should we pay the fine?”
