A FUND-raising concert was held to boost a village neighbourhood watch's CCTV system.

The concert for Emley and Emley Moor Neighbourhood Watch featured pupils from Emley First School, youngsters from Skelmanthorpe Innovate Band and singing group Reflections.

The compere at the concert, Young At Heart, was Emley First School headmaster Stuart Merry.

Emley and Emley Moor Neighbourhood Watch covers both villages - a population of more than 2,000.

It is a registered charity and has a CCTV system which needs upgrading. This is expected to cost £7,000 and the well-attended concert raised about £500.

The watch needs new members and has also appealed to local businesses to provide sponsorship.
