Go beyond the headlines and consider every side of the story with the help of the latest news app for your smartphone.
Perspecs, which launched this week, presents the day's biggest issues and shows you three different sides of the story, from three different news sources.
Alternatively, it will take expert commentary from different outlets to present for and against arguments for a particular product — for example, is iPhone better than Android?
Produced by Trinity Mirror, the app is aimed at news junkies wanting to question the viewpoints of their favourite media sources.
Darren Sher, Head of Product for Trinity Mirror Regionals, said: "Different perspectives on the same news story is something that has interested me for quite some time. When we put ourselves forward for a BBC hack day, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to experiment with the idea.
"Members of our product, design and development team, devised and produced a prototype on the day and it proved really popular with the judges, winning us the 'Surprise us' category," said Sher, who lead the project.
"After the hack day I was keen to pursue it further and make it a reality. I was surprised that there was nothing quite like it in the industry, so there was a clear gap in the market.
"Our aim with Perspecs is to offer readers the opportunity to make up their own mind about a story rather than relying on a single source of news. Perspecs is also about discovering new publications that readers may not have previously considered."
Perspecs launched on both iOS and Android this week, although both versions are still in their early development stages.
