Seized silverware could have been stolen from Elland church

SILVERWARE siezed during a Halifax house raid, could have come from an Elland church.

Halifax Central Neighbourhood Policing Team is appealing to members of the public to help them trace what is believed to be a stolen silver cup, tea pot and coffee pot.

Officers seized the items after searching a house in the Pellon area following the arrest of a 33 and a 35-year-old man, on suspicion of shoplifting.

Police believe the items, which are inscribed, may have been stolen from a church in Elland.
