PEOPLE now have the chance to sell their unwanted clothes – and turn in a profit for themselves and a charity.

The charity Leonard Cheshire Disability is hosting a feelgood fashion event to raise funds for its Beechwood home at Bryan Road, Edgerton.

Volunteer co-ordinator Pat Whalley is inviting people to donate men and women’s clothing for a month-long sales event. Those who take unwanted clothes or accessories in good or unworn condition along to the home will be offered a cash back deal.

“We are willing to return 50% of the proceeds to the person who brings the clothes in,” said Pat. “But there may be those who simply want to make a donation.”

The clothes event began this week and will end on March 9. Items for sale can be accepted up to March 4.

“Items will be available for sale in the sitting room at the home,” said Pat. “We want people to come and have a look at both the clothes and Beechwood.”
