A MEMORIAL service will be held for the father of Huddersfield's first quadruplets, who died of a heart attack.

Peter Longbottom died suddenly at his home in Lanzarote on May 30 leaving his four children - the first quads born at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary - and wife Jenny.

The quads, Matthew, Emma, Sarah and Neil, are 23 next month,

Peter, who was 54, had a milk delivery business for many years before retiring to live in Lanzarote, where the funeral was held.

The memorial service will be at Christ Church, Linthwaite, at 10am on Saturday June 26.

The family have asked for donations to go to the British Heart Foundation rather than flowers.

His son Matthew said:

"We've done the sad service in Lanzarote, we want this one to be a celebration of his life."

The service will be followed by a buffet at The Bull's Head in Blackmoorfoot.

Everyone who knew Peter is welcome.
