NEW sessions of fun sports for adults are starting in Huddersfield.

They are at Leeds Road Playing Fields on Mondays, starting on April 14, and people can just turn up.

The sessions, to be held on the new multi-use games area, are offshoots of the regular Wednesday evening Sport4Life running sessions held on the running track.

To help people exercise in various ways coach Andy Cook will includes fun games such as football, cricket, dribble relays and netball.

He has also discovered that people enjoy the games as much as the running.

The new sessions will be tested for six weeks.

They will consist of a variety of fun games and sports with simple rules. The size of teams depends on the number of people who turn up.

People will also have the choice of doing some running on the track.

The Monday sessions will be at the same time, 6pm-7pm, and cost the same, £2.65, as the Wednesday sessions.

Both are run by Kirklees Culture and Leisure Services.
